Licensed Mental Health Counselor

    Born and raised on the Big Island, Amygrace Araki is a seasoned Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, bringing over 10 years of expertise to our practice. Amygrace graduated high school from Honoka’a and then went on to get her master’s from Chaminade University.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, baking, shopping, going to the beach, traveling and having an adventure.   

    Based in the Leeward side of Oahu, she specializes in providing comprehensive mental health care to Military members, Veterans, their spouses, adolescents, couples, young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and middle-aged clients.  She utilizes evidence-based approaches including brief-solution-focused therapy, gestalt therapy, and person-centered therapy, and humanistic and cognitive-behavioral therapy to address a wide range of challenges, such as career counseling, coping skills, and relationship issues. Her proficiency also includes transition counseling and providing affirming support within the LGBTQ+ community. 

    She is dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment characterized by safety, empathy, and non-judgmental exploration of clients’ thoughts and emotions. She collaborates closely with everyone to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals. 

    Committed to accessibility, she accepts a diverse range of insurance plans including BlueCross, BlueShield, Hawaii Medical Assurance Association, Hawaii Medical Services Association, Medicaid, Medicare, Ohana Health Plan, PSWA/AFL, TRICARE, TriWest, University Health Alliance, and WellCare.
