Aloha! Meet Emilee Omoto, LMFT. She is the owner of Kapolei Counseling Center and a dedicated mental health professional serving the Leeward side of Oʻahu. A local girl from the island of Oʻahu, Emilee spent 10 formative years in California, giving her a unique blend of local and mainland perspectives that shape her therapeutic approach. Deeply connected to her Hawaiian roots, she has also competed in the prestigious Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, reflecting her strong commitment to culture and community.
With over 13 years of clinical experience, Emilee specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, narcissistic abuse, marital conflict, infidelity, autism, ADHD, parenting challenges, domestic violence, grief, substance use, and anger management. Her holistic approach integrates Christian-based therapy for those seeking spiritual support and incorporates Hawaiian cultural values and perspectives into treatment.
In August 2025, Emilee became an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She provides clinical supervision for Associate and pre-licensed clinicians working toward licensure hours, as well as practicum students seeking both individual and group supervision. Supervision is a true passion of Emilee’s, and she is deeply committed to training the next generation of therapists to a high standard of ethics, cultural awareness, and clinical competency.
Emilee is especially passionate about strengthening relationships and community well-being. She offers premarital counseling through the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) program and works closely with couples to foster healing, resilience, and long-term connection.
Throughout her career, Emilee has worked with diverse populations, including local and military families, incarcerated individuals, and children with developmental disabilities. She strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space for all clients. Emilee holds Gottman Level 1 Certification and is a 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work Leader through the Gottman Institute. She earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University–Honolulu in 2010 and accepts Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Medicaid to help ensure accessibility to care.
