With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Heidi Tsuneyoshi, LMHC, has dedicated her career to supporting individuals of all ages through life’s challenges. Raised in a multicultural family—with her mother from Hawaii and her father from Georgia—Heidi’s diverse background has shaped her deep appreciation for different life experiences. Having lived on the mainland and in Okinawa, Japan, before returning to Hawaii in high school, she brings a culturally sensitive and inclusive approach to her practice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and hanging out with her dog, Manny.
Heidi specializes in working with individuals aged 8 to 65+, addressing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD/Autism, anger management, personality disorders, codependency, dissociative disorders, trauma/PTSD, spirituality, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, preschools, homeless and transitional shelters, correctional facilities, and clinical environments.
Using a Person-Centered and Solution-Focused approach, Heidi tailors’ therapy to each client’s needs, integrating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy, and Trauma-Focused interventions. Her goal is to empower individuals by providing them with practical tools and insights to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Heidi is deeply passionate about providing compassionate and effective counseling, helping clients navigate personal struggles with resilience and strength. She is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly explore their experiences and work toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
