Koala Matsuoka, a Kamehameha Schools graduate, is a distinguished Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving the diverse community of the Leeward side of Oahu.  With a steadfast dedication to client-centered care, Koala specializes in navigating a spectrum of challenges including Family Conflicts and optimizing Sports Performance across varied demographics and athlete tiers. Her clinical acumen encompasses Anxiety, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, behavioral complexities, coping strategies, depression, developmental nuances, educational disparities, emotional resilience, life transitions, relational dynamics, and scholastic issues. 

She cultivates therapeutic environments grounded in safety and empathy, ensuring clients feel profoundly validated and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. Recognizing the courage inherent in seeking healing, she champions each client’s milestones with encouragement and affirmation.  

Armed with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University, Koala integrates extensive expertise with a compassionate ethos to empower individuals toward enhanced well-being.  On her free time, she likes to spend time with family. She enjoys going to the beach, playing volleyball, watching sports and binge watching tv shows.
