Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Michelle Nicole "Chelle" Janeo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who brings warmth, cultural sensitivity, and practical insight to her work with individuals and couples. Originally from Las Vegas and a proud first-generation college graduate, Chelle is the daughter of Filipino immigrants and the eldest of four siblings. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her passion for supporting others through life’s most complex and meaningful transitions.  Outside of the therapy room, Chelle enjoys snowboarding, rollerblading, going to the gym, traveling, attending concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her beloved dogs.

Chelle earned her Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She began her journey in the mental health field in 2021 and has since developed a special interest in working with adults with ADHD, couples navigating life changes, and individuals experiencing relational challenges, including communication struggles and parenting/co-parenting concerns. She is particularly passionate about empowering young adults facing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, identity development, and the transition into adulthood.

Informed by her own lived experiences, Chelle is an advocate for women’s issues, including reproductive rights, economic equality, access to education, and representation. As a partner of a first responder, she also understands the unique stressors faced by those in service professions. Her graduate thesis explored how medical students utilize social support to cope with burnout—an interest sparked by the tragic story of Dr. Lorna Breen during the COVID-19 pandemic. This continues to fuel Chelle’s commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and students under pressure.

Chelle’s approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and skills-based. She believes in the power of each client’s story and aims to help individuals connect their emotional wounds to their inherent strengths. She integrates psychoeducation into her sessions, offering practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Chelle is also Gottman Level 1 certified, utilizing evidence-based strategies when working with couples.
